Evening Grosbeak at Visitors Center, Malheur NWR.  Our largest finch in Oregon.

Western Meadowlarks.  The minute the rain let up, the meadowlarks’ song lifted from the flooded fields.

The Long-billed Curlew, outstanding in his field.  Longstanding, too.

Redhead, a duck we rarely see here in Ashland area.

Exhausted Cliff Swallows, grounded by the continuous, strong gales.

Common as dirt, beautiful as a sunrise.  Male Brewer’s Blackbird keeping himself posted.
