Aggressive male Wood Ducks in naval pursuit.

Same male Wood Ducks in aerial combat.  These blighters have no energy for helping around the nest, leaving the female to do all the incubation and duckling-rearing.

The Hermit Thrush is an infrequent visitor to our garden,  usually preferring much more secluded spots.  But this day he was finding something to his taste.

Thus you can see why the squirrel is behated by Steller’s Jays far and wide.
