Spring Songs in San Francisco

I got this email from Danell Zeavin: “Ron and I heard a symphony of sounds this morning at North Lake.  The redwings (oboe), scrub jays (trumpet), wood ducks and ring necks (percussion), and song sparrow (singing soloist).  Here are a few pictures, including one of cedar waxwings I took a week ago in the park in front of the state capitol.  Today we counted 26 species.”

California Towhee.
