List of birds seen today, and some hawk and heron pics, here.

Top to bottom:

Male American Wigeon loafing at Stow Lake.

In Strybing Arboretum’s desert section.

On land or sea the Coot is equipped with the right footgear!

Backlit Bushtit.

Goose grief.

Pied-billed Grebe showing off that truly pied bill of the breeding season.  Yes, the Stow Lake water is really that green color.  Just image the duck fertilized algae that thrive there.

Western Gull adult.  Species is a four-year gull, taking four years and nearly a score of molts to reach this adult stage of plumage.
