Frosty the Birdman

The way it was.  Frozen fog coated all exposed surfaces with white frosting.  Giving clear proof of why the word we use for this effect is “frosting.”

look-closelyLook very carefully at this foggy scene, those shapes you can almost make out are part of a flock of 19 immature Tundra Swans that had roosted on the ice.  Tundra, indeed.

The only mammals about were cattle, a few other drivers, one curious coyote and a handful of mule deer.
